This month's theme: CD Covers

Reminder! Only until Friday midnight Central Time, Then the vote begins! Get your entries in!!

1) There will be two categories. A) The first category will be just a single pic featuring the cover art for the CD you have designed. B) The second category is what I really want to see and I would be interested in modifying the prize for collaborations here. I would like to see a complete CD sleeve, lyrics, art, band photos, etc. The band should probably be your own concoction and imagianation but as long as you cross no copyright boundaries, I'll make exceptions. Due to copyright violations and such, please refer to these dA FAQ's... FAQ #33: Where can I find the submission agreement? FAQ #9: Am I allowed to put the art I downloaded from here on other websites? FAQ #8: What is a "rip"? FAQ #157: Can I use things created by other people in my submissions? Please adhere to these as I don't want to have to report a submission for copyright violation. Please be creative.

2) The size is going to be open except that I would like to be able to read the lyrics if you should decide to work in that direction.

3) You may also create super bands of your favorite musicians. And this is definately not restricted to any genre of music! (Just be careful of that copyright)

4) Please keep profanity, nudity, and obscenity to a minimum, my wife has quams about my commenting on nudes....

5) Limitations should probably be that I really don't need to see a 500 panel CD case... But I'm not just limiting it to CDs either, if you feel the need to wax nostalgic... By all means, throw a LP with a liner sleeve, or an 8-track panel, or a cassette booklet at me... I'll try to catch it....

Sorry, I cannot guarantee anything to be submitted to DDs this time. I will determine that at a later date. And even if I decide to submit them, there is the chance they will be ignored by the powers that be.

Judging:
Due to the over whelming amount of stuff on my plate this round, I cannot score the submissions in my usual way. The challenges will be submitted as polls to be voted on for the whole of May. So you can try to gather votes for your submission this time. but I don't like doing it this way, so don't expect it to happen very often. Voting for submissions will be starting May 1^st As will be the end of this Challenge. The winners will be determined at the end of May. I will break any ties...

Anyone interested in helping get things together for the June Challenge be sure to see my forums! I will be getting a scoring guideline and rules together, as well as looking for judges to help out.

You may enter both categories but you may not enter the Cover art from one as the cover for the whole jewel case. In other words, two separate submissions, they may be of the same band, but they must be separate designs. And you have the chance of winning both categories, albeit small.

Please NOTE me with your submission link and have it marked for my Challenge in the comments. It's not neccisary to title it for my Challenge. Also, it is kind of a peeve of mine for no one to comment on thier own stuff!
